Dear devotees,

With the blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swami and the support of our volunteers, devotees, and donors we are honored to have the privilege of serving at the Quad City Hindu Temple.

Our temple's twelfth-year celebrations culminated in Pushkarotsava Kumbhabhishekam followed by Brahmotsavam. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the participation of our community was very impressive. It was amazing to see how the whole community adapted so well to the situation by following social protocols and guidelines set by the temple during these events.

In the Bhagavat-Gita, Arjuna became very despondent when looking upon having to battle his own relatives. Just like him, we all are also very despondent now due to the Coronavirus and the impact it is having on our lives. Therefore, it is important in these times to once again remind ourselves of God and the presence of God in our lives. Temple is the place where we establish communion with God. It is an institution of learning and a place where we abide by our culture and tradition. It reminds us that God must be approached with humility and without pride and gives us a sense of gratification. We are all really blessed to have such a wonderful temple in a small town like Quad cities. It is a testament of how far the generosity and passion can go.

We feel incredibly happy to announce that we are in the final stages of the completion of the Gopuram 2020 project. The temple’s interior structure is meticulously constructed in series of Garba Grihas (Sanctum/Sanctorum ) reflecting the diverse Hindu architecture for each deity. We are grateful to Stapathi and Shilpis for exquisitely designing the Sannidhis and Gopurams. We are also blessed with the most learned and proficient priests performing the rituals with high dedication which makes this temple distinct and a well sought out spiritual destination for devotees. The priestly services under the able leadership of Acharya Sri Balaji, assisted by Pavan Swamy reminds us of the traditional Indian temple atmosphere and experience. Their unconditional service and support to the community is inexplicable.

Finally, We thank each member of the community for their support and contributions in making the Kumbhabhishekam and Brahmotsavam events grand and successful. Your continuous devotional and financial support is greatly appreciated.

May God's blessings be with you always!

Dear devotees,

Congratulations!!!! And thank you for your overwhelming support for the recently concluded Vigraha Prana Prathishtapana at your temple. As you all are aware this event was a grand success exceeding most of our expectations. We wish to thank all the volunteers, priests, stapathi, hired help (masons, tile layer, tent installers, heavy movers, crane operator, carpenter, lawn care personnel, etc.) sponsors, generous donors and devotees who made this possible. We wish and hope you will continue your support to take this temple forward to make it debt free, indianize and ultimately self reliant in its operations in the near future.

As you are also aware that the temple is being operated mostly by dedicated volunteers without any cost to the temple except our fixed costs from the mortgage, utilities, priest and other expenses. And to keep our costs low we encourage all the devotees to play an active role in keeping the temple clean as and when you see some area is in need of that service without waiting for an invitation to do so or please bring to the attention of the priest or the temple board at the earliest so appropriate measures can be taken.

As devotees we should expect the temple to carry out certain services like poojas to all deities, abhishekams for Shiva (evenings) and Balaji (mornings) etc. (new schedule at http://www.qchindutemple.com/temple_pooja_timings.php) and in general maintain the sanctity of our beloved temple and meet the community's need for Hindu religious rituals at their homes. We are striving to provide these services with all truth and honesty and with the spirit of dharma. We encourage the community to report to the temple board at the earliest, if in your opinion these or any other standards that you feel are important are not being upheld or any other suggestions, so necessary corrective actions can be taken to restore those services as fast as possible. This is your temple, do not be a by stander, demand and get the highest standard of service possible.

Some of you have contacted us regarding your names being listed in the wrong categories of donors or not listed at all. Please note carefully that:

  • This list was of only donations made by donors so far and not pledged amounts by these donors.
  • If your donation was not listed at all it could be because the donation was after the compilation of the list.
  • We understand the sensitivity with this issue and have taken utmost care to be accurate based on available records. If you still feel this is inaccurate please contact the temple board with any documentary proof such as cancelled checks or stock transaction information from your brokers or any other evidence you feel would corroborate your claim. Please bring it to our attention as soon as possible so we can continue to ensure the list of donors remains accurate.
  • The donors list emailed recently and published on the website is accurate as of July 29, 2008.

Finally, this is your temple, the house of your God, treat it like your own home, keep it clean don't wait for some body else to do it, if there is a problem with the facility or service, please contact or write to Temple board and help fixing those problems by bringing to the attention of the above authorities.
