Annakut
Annakut (literally a mountain of food) is offered to God on this day. A vast array of vegetarian foods is traditionally arranged in tiers or steps, in front of the Lord. The sweets are placed nearest to the Lord. As the tiers descend, other foods such as dal, vegetables, pulses and fried savory foods are arranged. A mound of cooked rice, symbolic of Mt. Govardhan, is placed in the center.
After offering to Lord Krishna, there would be Bhajans and then Mahamangal Arti. The Same Prasadam is distributed to the Devotees.
Please participate in Annakut by preparing a small quantity (one small bowl) of various dishes from the list and if you do not find any dish name, you may prepare of your choice which can be offered to the God. Please bring Prasadam and all food items by 1:00 PM
ALL FOOD ITEMS SHOULD BE VEGETARIAN (eggless). Homemade, AND SHOULD NOT CONTAIN ONION, GARLIC & HING (ASAFOETIDA)

Skanda Shashti:
Skanda Shashti is the festival dedicated for Lord Karthikeya, second son of Lord Shiva, also known as Subramanya, Kumaresa, Guha, Murugan, Shanmukha and Velayudhan, who on this day, is believed to have annihilated the mythical demon. Shashti is the day the Lord Subramanya defeated the demon Soorapadman. He fought Soorapadman for six days, at the end of which Lord vanquished the asura. He threw his weapon at him and Soorapadman was split into two halves. One half became a Peacock, which he took as his vahana. The other became a Rooster and was transformed into his flag. The devas who were tormented by Soorapadman, rejoiced and they praised the Lord and prayed to him for six days.
Offering of Kavadi on Skanda Shashti is a form of popular worship. Corresponding to six days of war over the evil forces, devotees undertake fasts, prayers and devotional singing of Lord Muruga.
