Valmiki Sundara Kanda Recitation & Hanuman Pooja for Peace, Prosperity & Success in Material & Spiritual Life

The Valmiki Ramayana, a timeless epic, has been a source of inspiration for numerous adaptations across regional languages. This sacred scripture comprises 24,000 slokas, offering insights into the life of Lord Srirama. The Sundara Kanda, a pivotal part of the Valmiki Ramayana, contains approximately 3,000 slokas that beautifully depict the devotion and valor of Lord Hanuman.

Reciting the Valmiki Sundara Kanda, which takes around 10 hours to complete, is believed to bring peace, prosperity, and spiritual growth. This monumental event will take place from December 7th to February 13th, offering a unique chance for the community to come together and seek divine blessings.

*Everyday Schedule*
- 9:00 AM: Valmiki Sundarkanda Parayana Starts
- 12:00 PM: Parayana concludes for the day

- 5:30 PM: Hanuman Utsava Murti Abhishekam
- 5:45 PM: Hanuman Chalisa by Devotees
- 6:00 PM: Naivedyam (Bhog), Hanuman Aarti & Prasadam Distribution

Devotees are welcome to join and listen to the Sundara Kanda recitation all 68 days during temple morning hours (9:00 am - 12:00 pm). Additionally, we invite you to join us every day from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm for Hanuman Chalisa, Abhishekam, Pooja, and Aarti.

Dhanurmasam Begins - Thiruppavai recitation

Significance of Dhanurmasam :
The month of Dhanurmasam is very auspicious to worship Lord Vishnu.
Unlike the other days when the Lord Vishnu starts his day with Suprabhatam, in this month he opens his eyes listening to the Thiruppavai – pasuras.

Thai Poosam


Thai Poosam ( தைப்பூசம்) is celebrated on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (Jan/Feb). Pusam refers to a star that is at its highest point during the festival. The festival commemorates both the birthday of Lord Murugan (also Subramaniam), the youngest son of Shiva and Parvati, and the occasion when Parvati gave Murugan a vel (lance) so he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman.
